  7. Konnect Fast! and Konnect Base are software products that easily connect
  8. graphic design, publishing and advertising firms to a user's service bureau
  9. through high-speed telecommunications. For the end user, Konnect Fast! software
  10. provides an on-screen order sheet, giving any Macintosh user quick and accurate
  11. ordering of a service bureau's PostScript output services, such as camera-ready
  12. negatives or full-color proofs and transparencies. Konnect Fast! combines the
  13. completed order screen with all necessary files, graphics, scans, etc., into
  14. one compressed file that is ready for the service bureau. Konnect has
  15. incorporated Stuffit compression into its user interface to minimize file size.
  16. Two clicks of the mouse or keyboard automatically transmits the file over a
  17. high-speed modem for instant processing.

  19. Running at the service bureau, the Konnect Base software runs on any Macintosh
  20. to accept as many as four callers simultaneously. Upon reception at Konnect
  21. Base, Konnect Fast! package files are accessible from any Macintosh on an
  22. AppleTalk or Ethernet network. If desired, the service bureau can configure
  23. Base to automatically un-Stuff each package received and print a detailed work
  24. order without an operation. Konnect Base will accept jobs from any modem user.
  25. All files are conveniently available to any network Macintosh via Tops,
  26. AppleShare and System 7. These packages contain complete output, billing and
  27. shipping instructions necessary for processing the job. The Konnect BBS has a
  28. complete set of administrative commands to allow the service bureau complete
  29. control of the jobs and files received. A familiar Macintosh interface and the
  30. power of the Unix operating system combine to give the ultimate in power and
  31. ease of use.
